Gold Pristella Tetra (Pristella maxillaris)

A captive-bred color form of the same X-ray tetra, Pristella maxillaris, with the translucent body toned warmer gold instead of the usual pale silver-yellow. The dark-tipped fins and pale warning spot underneath carry over unchanged from the wild-type fish, just set against a richer background color. Every bit as hardy and forgiving as the standard pristella, which is saying something.
