Green Chalice Coral
Chalice corals grow as a flat, plating or cup-shaped colony that encrusts across rock in a way that shows off an almost painted-looking surface pattern, and they're prized specifically for how much visual texture and color they pack into a slow-growing, low-maintenance package. Moderate light works best — chalices are one of the LPS corals that can actually bleach or lose color under light that's too intense, which runs against the usual "more light is better" instinct reef keepers develop. Give it space to encrust outward, keep direct flow gentle rather than blasting, and it'll reward patience with one of the more strikingly patterned corals in the tank.
