Green Pacman Frog (Ceratophrys cranwelli)
Ceratophrys cranwelli spends the vast majority of its life doing essentially nothing — sitting half-buried in substrate, motionless, waiting for something edible to wander into strike range. The green morph is about as close as this line-bred species gets to true wild coloration, mottled just right to vanish into leaf litter until that ambush strike closes the gap in a fraction of a second. In the dry season back home, wild Pacman frogs burrow down and shed a cocoon of skin to lock in moisture through a drought — a party trick this generation still remembers, terrarium humidity or not.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Solitary, will eat similarly-sized tankmates · Max size: ~4-6" · Min enclosure: 10 gal terrarium · Diet: Carnivore, appropriately-sized insects/rodents
