Lamarck Angelfish (Genicanthus lamarck)
Lamark Angelfish move through a genuinely striking transition on the way to adulthood, trading a bold juvenile stripe pattern for the muted gray-and-yellow scheme it wears as a full-grown adult. Like the rest of the large angelfish family it's an opportunistic grazer, picking at algae, sponges, and tunicates across the reef throughout the day. A dramatic, long-term showpiece for a big, established tank.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Semi-aggressive · Max size: ~14" · Min tank: 180+ gal · Diet: Omnivore, marine algae + meaty foods
