Lavender Mushroom Coral (Discosoma sp.)
Discosoma mushrooms don't chase light the way stony corals do — they're happy tucked into shadier, lower-flow real estate that would leave an SPS coral starving, which makes them one of the few things that thrives in the rockwork's dead zones. This one runs a soft lavender disc that shifts subtly under different spectrum lighting, and like most mushrooms it'll bud off clones via pedal laceration once it's settled. A reliable way to add color to spots nothing else wants.
Care level: Easy · Light/Flow/Placement: Low-moderate light, low flow, bottom of tank in shadier spots · Max size: 2-3" disc, colonizes over time · Diet: Photosynthetic, no target feeding required
