Long-Fin Serpae Tetra (Hyphessobrycon eques)
The same deep red, black-edged serpae tetra genetics, just paired with a long-fin mutation that trails the dorsal and caudal well past the usual proportions. The extra fin surface slows them down slightly compared to a standard serpae, which if anything helps keep the group's energy directed at each other rather than at faster tankmates. Still needs the same six-or-more group size to keep that fin-nipping instinct in check.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Semi-aggressive, shoaling · Max size: ~1.75" · Min tank: 20 gal · Diet: Omnivore, flake/pellet
