Monte Carlo (Micranthemum tweediei) is a favorite foreground carpet, blanketing the substrate in tiny, round, fresh-green leaves on creeping stems. It's more forgiving than the similar-looking dwarf baby tears, tolerating a bit less light while still forming a tight, low lawn. Plant small portions across the substrate and it will creep outward to fill the gaps.
