Neon Green Lobophyllia Coral
Lobophyllia carries some of the largest fleshy polyps you'll find on an LPS, inflating into a puffy, convoluted mass by day that genuinely earns the brain-coral comparison. It's more aggressive than its languid daytime look suggests — sweeper tentacles come out after dark and can reach several inches to sting anything encroaching on its space, so it needs real buffer room from tankmates. In neon green under actinic lighting, the ridges and valleys catch light unevenly and make the whole colony look like it's glowing from within.
Care level: Easy-Moderate · Light/Flow/Placement: Low-moderate light, low-moderate flow, bottom-to-mid tank with space from neighbors · Max size: 6"+ colony · Diet: Photosynthetic, benefits from regular meaty feeding
