Rainbow Garra

Garra is the same genus behind "doctor fish," the small spa fish used commercially to nibble dead skin off human feet — a party trick made possible by a specialized ventral sucker mouth built to clamp onto rock in fast current and graze biofilm, teeth and all. This rainbow-toned relative uses that same sucker-mouth rig for its actual job description: holding position against real flow while working over algae-covered rock nonstop.
