Scissortail Rasbora (Rasbora trilineata)
Rasbora trilineata gets its name from the way the two tail lobes flick open and shut independently as it swims, a genuinely distinct silhouette compared to most rasboras that just hold a fixed forked tail. It also runs considerably larger than the harlequin-sized rasboras most people expect from the family, closer to a small danio in adult size, and needs real open water to show off that scissoring motion properly. Hardy, active, and a good centerpiece school for a bigger community tank.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Peaceful, shoaling · Max size: ~5" · Min tank: 30 gal · Diet: Omnivore, flake/pellet
