Scooter Blenny (Synchiropus sp.)
Same dragonet family as its Red Ruby cousin, and just as much of a taxonomic misnomer — the "blenny" in Scooter Blenny is a holdover common name, not an actual family tree. It hops rather than swims, picking copepods and tiny invertebrates off the sand bed and rockwork, and does best in a tank old enough to have built up a healthy pod population to graze on.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Peaceful · Max size: ~2.5" · Min tank: 30 gal, mature with live rock · Diet: Carnivore, meaty foods, benefits from live copepods
