Goldfish thrive in slightly alkaline, well-buffered water with stable pH — unstable pH causes immune suppression and increases susceptibility to bacterial infections. Unlike general-purpose pH buffers, Goldfish Buffer is calibrated to the cooler temperatures at which goldfish are kept, ensuring accurate pH stability at 65–72°F. It also provides a gentle KH boost that helps maintain buffering capacity between water changes.
