Sunburst Orange GLO Tetra (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi)

Every GloFish traces back to zebrafish modified with a fluorescent-protein gene pulled from jellyfish or coral DNA, originally meant to flag waterborne pollution before the same tech became one of the first genetically modified animals sold as a pet. This tetra runs that gene as a saturated electric orange, true and heritable rather than dyed on, meaning it holds color for life instead of fading. Peaceful, hardy, and easy in a real school.
