Sunset Thicklip Gourami (Trichogaster labiosa)

Trichogaster labiosa gets its name honestly, noticeably thicker, fleshier lips than most gouramis, built for grazing algae and biofilm off flat surfaces rather than just picking at flake food. This sunset line carries a warm orange-gold wash that's a genuine change of pace from the blues and silvers most gouramis run. Peaceful and easy, with the same labyrinth-organ backup breathing as the rest of the family.
