Synodontis Eupterus

The featherfin Synodontis carries one of the tallest dorsal fins in the genus, and it's not just for looks — raised and locked upright, it makes the fish look considerably bigger and harder to swallow to any predator sizing it up. Like the rest of the Synodontis crowd it's a nocturnal cave-dweller, content to disappear by day and patrol after dark.
