White Pearl Show Male Betta (Betta splendens)
Pearl scaling in bettas comes from a thickened iridophore layer scattering light off the scale edges instead of the body's actual pigment, which is why a white pearl fish can look almost opalescent depending on the angle you view it from. This one's bred to show standard, meaning fin symmetry and edge definition get judged as hard as the color itself. He lives alone, full stop, males don't co-exist peacefully regardless of grade.
Care level: Easy · Temperament: Aggressive toward other bettas · Max size: ~3" · Min tank: 5 gal · Diet: Carnivore, betta pellets + frozen
