Yellow Watchman Goby
Yellow Watchman Gobies keep a fin permanently in contact with their roommate: a nearly blind pistol shrimp that excavates and maintains their shared burrow while the goby, with working eyes and nothing better to do, keeps watch overhead. One flick of that fin and the shrimp bolts for cover, no verbal negotiation required. It's one of the cleanest examples of interspecies teamwork on the reef, and also just a genuinely easy, hardy fish to keep.
