Zebra Moray Eel (Gymnomuraena zebra)
Zebra Morays trade the typical eel dagger-teeth for a mouth full of blunt, rounded molars — dental hardware built for cracking crab and snail shells rather than shredding fish, which makes this one of the few large morays you can actually trust around your fish. It's a thick-bodied, girthy animal despite a modest length, and it'll spend most daylight hours wedged into rockwork before coming out to hunt after dark. Just don't expect your cleanup crew to survive the arrangement.
Care level: Moderate · Temperament: Peaceful · Max size: ~5' (girth-heavy) · Min tank: 75+ gal, secure lid · Diet: Carnivore, shell-on crustaceans/mollusks
