The first visit on a tank we have not managed before is not a routine service call. It is a full reset, and it is where we find out what is actually going on in your system — including the things the previous routine quietly worked around.

What you get

  • Deep clean — glass, substrate, rock work, sump, the parts nobody enjoys reaching
  • Full parameter workup — the complete panel, not a strip test, logged as the baseline every future visit gets measured against
  • Equipment audit — pumps, skimmer, lighting, heaters, controllers, plumbing: what is failing, what is undersized, and what is about to cost you a tank
  • A written plan — what we would change, in what order, and what it costs. Yours to keep whether or not you hire us for anything else.

$494.99, flat. Start a maintenance plan at that visit and the full amount is credited toward your first month — the audit effectively becomes free the moment you decide the tank deserves the plan.

This visit is required before any maintenance plan starts, and not as a formality: we will not take responsibility for a system before we know what we are taking on. The audit is what lets us stand behind the work that follows — including the live guarantees our plan clients get on installed livestock.

Not sure yet? The Room Look — a free 30-minute conversation about the space and what belongs in it — comes first and costs nothing. The paid work starts where the real work starts.

Livestock orders over $350 ship free as standard. The plans this visit leads into are laid out on the services overview.

An honest audit is the cheapest thing you will ever buy for this tank. Everything expensive comes from skipping it.
